Problem Note 57528: An incorrect operating system value appears in the SAS® log window in SAS® 9.4 installed in a Windows 10 operating environment

When you invoke SAS 9.4 on a Windows 10 machine, a value in the log window indicates that the operating system is Windows 8 Pro rather than Windows 10. Here are two examples.
In this example, X64_8PRO would indicate that SAS is 64-bit on a Windows 8 Pro machine. The X64 is for 64-bit SAS and 8PRO is for Windows 8 Pro.
NOTE: This session is executing on the X64_8PRO platform.
In this example, W32_8PRO would indicate that SAS is 32-bit on a Windows 8 Pro machine. The W32 is for 32-bit SAS and 8PRO is for Windows 8 Pro.

This inaccurate value is not indicative of nor does it cause a functionality issue.
SAS 9.4 TS1M3 and later is supported under Windows 10.
